A few weeks ago I had the honor of shooting my prom 2017 Look Book with some of the most talented artists in Idaho. Teaming up with Ellen Hansen (Amazing Photographer,) we planned a shoot at Studio Boise. We hand picked some amazing models: Hanna Stoddard, Elizabeth Resnick, Anna Billings, and Sierra Cole. I always love working with Ellen and her wonderful soul. The models actually blew my mind and I fell in love with the photos. I had Rachel Young do the hair and makeup and like always she did an amazing job. I hope you fall in love with the outcome just like I did.
For the past three months my heart and soul have been put into planning the Women's March on Idaho. Nora Harren and I (People for Unity.) felt like proud parents seeing our work efforts make their first steps toward equality. My life has forever been changed by this powerful experience. We gather in numbers rarely seen in Idaho (7,000+). We displayed love and acceptance in a state that rarely flaunts it. We gathered to support diversity and respect in a state that ranks in the bottom five in reproductive rights, equal pay, and more.
Yesterday I was proud to be and Idahoan and today I am proud to be marching on this journey with my fellow Idahoans.
Nora has again and again shown me that I am the luckiest person in the world. I could never have gotten a better partner in crime. We had to deal with so many bumps in the road together but I am so happy she was by my side. Nora will always have my back and love.
The march sent shivers down my back and the turn out was humbling. Yesterday will go down in history as one of the biggest women's rights movements. I am so honored to be apart of something as beautiful as what I witnessed yesterday.
As a community, as a woman, as a human rights supporter lets move forward on our march towards change and equality.
This year I decided to enter into the Scholastic Art and Writing Contest. This was just the excuse I needed to get myself together to get past my artist block I had been in for a while. I was able to work with the amazing Ellen Hansen who I have been blessed to grow up with and call my sister. I also recruited an amazing model Quince Lark, she has great personality and ability to model. We had makeup done by Rachel Young, my talented best friend and had gold eyebrows and golden cheeks.
The weather was freezing outside and so windy! We were so lucky everything worked out and the photos turned out great. I got the photos the other day and entered into the contest, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!!!
ALMOST ALL THE DRESSES I MADE THIS YEAR FOR HOMECOMING 2016. It was so crazy starting off last year making only 5 homecoming dresses and then going into this year making 14!! I wouldn't have had it any other way, I learned so much and I can't believe I did it. I absolutely love my passion. PS; this is only 4 of them, more pictures to come :)
Had so much fun shooting my first studio shoot ever!!! I was super lucky to model with my good friend Hanna Stoddard for this little shoot. We had so much fun wearing a bunch of cute homecoming props like crowns and sashes. I always love working with Fiona Montagne! Can you believe that neither of us had ever used a studio before?! Also this is one of the coolest and newest studios in Boise called Studio Boise. I hope you LOVE the photos :)
The other night Rachel and I were bored in my room and decided to pull together a last photoshoot in 20 minutes. We got Hanna to model and Rachel did the makeup and hair in 30 minutes! That day it just so happened that Harley and Fiona were shooting up at Lucky Peak and offered for us to join them. The photos actually turned out amazing, take a look below!
This year I made Hanna's prom dress and we decided to set up a little photoshoot because I loved it so much. We seriously put this together in 60 seconds and the outcome was amazing! I got so lucky that my uncle, Eric Raptosh was in town and was able to take the photos. I love Hanna so much, she lit the world up today :) Check the photos out!
This year during spring break I got to go visit my sister in Oregon with my mother. The trip was so much fun and not only did I get to see my sister and hang out but I got to hold baby goats!! We only stayed around 4 days but they were so amazing. I had no wifi where I stayed but I had a chance to just be with family and nature.
I had such a fun Christmas this year, I love spending time with family and friends and eating amazing food. I was lucky enough to visit Mexico where it was 89 degrees most the time. I was with a friend I've known since I was 4,and I stayed with her great family. It was so beautiful and everyone was so nice to me--even though I speak almost no Spanish. It's already time to go back!!
I was so lucky to be able to visit London this fall!! I loved the beautiful sights and sounds that came with the trip. I ate the most amazing foods and found the most amazing stores walking along the streets. I got to see The Book of Mormon as well. Hopefully I will be back to visit soon, it was so gorgoues and there are still so many things to see and experiance.
Today I got my brand new portraits from my awesome uncle Eric Raptosh. We walked around my neighborhood in the foothills and found some amazing places to shoot. I absolutely loved the outcome and I will definitely will use these for a long time.
The other day I was so amazed to find myself on the cove of a book with me best friend from over 7 years ago, Molly Hansen!!!
Giant thanks to my uncle who is such a great photographer and got Molly and I this amazing opportunity!!!
