for Idaho Prison Arts Collective | 2022
In 2021, a writing contest was held among residents of Idaho prisons: Write a letter to your twelve-year-old self. These are the fifty extraordinary results — heart-warming, heart-breaking, clever, beautifully crafted, and hilarious. From adulthood, the twelve-year-old “inner child” offers a special bridge. At twelve, we begin to sense how distinct we are and that we have power.
These letters provide precious window into the human experience. They have a relevance and poignancy for all of us, whether we've faced addiction, violence, incarceration, or not.

for El Dorado COPE | 2023
Substance Use Disorder (SUD) services are drug and alcohol counseling, medication assisted treatment (MAT), detoxification, and inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. MAT is the use of medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a “whole-patient” approach to the treatment of SUDs.
